Wonder Craft: Folding Craft Stick Memorial – Journal

Craft sticks are a wonderful staple that you should keep around the house. They give you the ability to do easy and versatile manual jobs in just a few minutes. Plus, they can be a big help in making last-minute gift ideas a reality.

Although there is still a week to go until Father’s Day, I bring you a folding popsicle stick memorial, which can be done in just half an hour. And it will be a perfect gift for your dad because it would be handmade by you, with love, especially for him.

Things you need:

  1. Large, colorful craft sticks, at least eight. The number of sticks depends on the number of sentences you are going to write, in my case eight.

  2. White glue

  3. A piece of colored paper (6 inches long and 3 inches wide)

  4. Scissors

  5. piece of ribbon

  6. Multicolored markers

  1. You need a small piece of colored paper 6 inches high and 3 inches wide for eight Popsicle sticks (if you are making from 10 or 12 Popsicle sticks the paper length will increase), see photo 2.

  2. Glue white glue to the paper, then gently place the stick on top, pictures 3 and 4.

  3. Continue to glue the sticks to the paper; leave a small space between all the sticks (this makes folding easy), pictures 5 and 6.

  4. When finished, let the sticks dry on the paper. In this step you can choose either to write on the paper you glued the sticks on or on the sticks separately, as I did, see photo 7.

  5. Make a one inch loop from ribbon and glue it to the back of this stick card, see picture 8.

  6. After you’ve glued the loop, it’s time to spread your love and respect on the sticks using colored markers, see photo 9.

  7. When done, fold it up and tie a ribbon around it, present it to your dad on Father’s Day!
