The Sun Awards: celebrities redefine style

This was a glamor, panache and razzmatazz night at The sun The awards took place last Saturday at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos as non celebrities

only dazzled like a million stars on the red carpet, they also redefined the style.

The men and women who graced the event were costumed in various styles. While some were dressed in native clothing, others came out equipped with English clothing. The traditional Yorubat Agbada was not left out. Matching beads have also made their mark as most men have accessorized their outfits with beads of different shapes and colors.

Some male guests shone in their elegance Danshiki with matching caps. A certain celebrity turned out in an eye-catching and adorable navy blue Danshiki which stirred up the red carpet. Men in traditional white kaftan and well cut bouba and sokoto all appeared in matching caps that made them look cold and calculated.

However, you can’t rule out the power of suits and ties during rewards. Some of the male guests wore chic, timeless and trendy suits in different colors, adding flair to the awards.

Bling-bling day

It was a bling-bling day as the fashionistas looked dazzling and sparkling in their high-fashion bling-bling clothes.

Indeed, the ornamental fabrics in various shades were delighted during the awards ceremony. Heads were turned as the ladies ‘overtook’ each other to make a fashion statement. From the brown color of earth stone to that of onion

fuchsia, powder blue and handmade silver, all jewelry shone beautifully in the turtle

From the clothes of the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipilabo GogoBanigo to that of the First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, Lawyer Oge Iyiegbu, Lady Nnamdi Ezeigbo, Neya Orji -Uzor Kalu, Chief (Mrs.) Adebimpe Giwa, Lizzy Onah, Sisters Ilodibe, Lady Ebere Onah, Oluchi Madubuike, Amara Amusi, Ujunwa Udechukwu, Tolulope Omolaja, and Ebele Ejiofor among others, it was indeed a day of bling dresses at its best!
