Canadian rapper and singer Drake and comedienne Lilly Singh paid their last respects to Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on Monday. The singer and Congress leader was shot dead by unknown assailants in Jawaharke village, Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday, May 29. Drake shared a photo of Sidhu Moose Wala with his mother on Instagram Stories as he paid tribute to the singer.

Sharing the photo, Drake wrote: “RIP Moose”.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moose Wala hails from Moose Wala village in Mansa district of Punjab. Moose Wala had learned music while in college and later moved to Canada. He was also known as one of the most controversial Punjabi singers, openly promoting gun culture and glorifying gangsters in provocative songs.
