Oprah Winfrey, Kanye West and More Celebs Make Forbes’ Annual Billionaires List

Celebrities have done Forbes’ 36th annual list of the world’s billionaires.
The magazine publishes an annual list indexing the world’s billionaires, including facts and charts on countries of origin, sources of wealth and other interesting facts. While the number of billionaires has risen from 2,755 last year to 2,668 for 2022, several celebrities have remained on the list.
Oprah Winfrey tops the list with $2.6 billion, followed by Kanye West with $2 billion. His ex-wife Kim Kardashian follows behind with $1.8 billion.

Interestingly, the outlet writes that Winfrey’s source of income is from TV shows and is categorized as ‘Media and Entertainment’, while West’s income is from music, sneakers and is categorized into the “Fashion and retail” category. Kardashian’s source of income comes from cosmetics, reality TV and is also categorized as ‘Fashion and Retail’.

“Madea” creator Perry was a newcomer to the roster in 2021 and managed to stay on the roster again for 2022.

Among the billionaires who have disappeared from the list this year are Whitney Wolfe Herd, creator of the dating app Bumble, and Peloton chairman and former CEO John Foley.
