‘Nigeria has become a mess’ – celebrities condemn Ondo church attack
The attack on the Catholic Church of Saint Francis in Ondo sparked a flurry of reactions on Twitter.
Some armed men attacked the church during a Sunday mass, detonating explosives before shooting the faithful.
This cost the lives of many worshippers, including women and children.
Celebrities and public figures have spoken out on the matter as it has generated a lot of furor on social media.
Some have blamed the attack on the government, saying it failed to protect the lives of its citizens.
Others simply condemned the loss of life.
Mr. Macaroni, the skit maker, wrote: “Our leaders are heartless! These people are playing games with the lives of Nigerians! Stop sacrificing the lives of Nigerians! Stop! Enough is enough!
“Children lying in a pool of their own blood!” Everything for what? To what end? It is not Nigeria we want,” he continued.

It’s gotten so bad now that every day you wake up one of your prayer points should be ‘may Nigeria not happen to me today’ because no place is safe anymore, not even inside churches 💔

The government is always ready to share its thoughts and prayers with the victims, but never justice.

Pray for Nigeria ????
The government at the time abandoned its job of protecting me and my family, but you’re asking me to pray?
Ondo people went to pray today and now they are dead!!!
