As a native Californian, wellness has always been in by Meghan Markle some blood. In fact, on his now defunct blog The Tigerthe Duchess of Sussex reportedly wrote, “I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a California girl who lives by the philosophy that most things can be cured with yoga, the beach, or a few avocados.”

1. Megatrain Pilates

Meghan has long been a fan of Megaformer Pilates – a high-intensity, low-impact workout she called “the best thing you can do for your body”. She continued, “Your body changes immediately. Give it 2 classes and you will see a difference.”

In an interview with women’s healthshe revealed that she had already taken several classes at her friend Heather Dorak’s studio in California, Platinum Pilates and she would have her own Megaformer machine at home.

When she was based in London, Meghan loved the heart of heart classes by London-based fitness studio Heartcore, which costs £30 per session, or a monthly pass which totals £2,340 per year. We suspect she still sneaks into a class when on UK soil, but it’s obviously not a regular part of her routine anymore.

“I think when you look back on it a year from now and yeah, it was still big, it wasn’t that big, comparatively. And that’s not to diminish what it was, it’s just suddenly when you have a perspective that’s only visible when you have people to check you in with that…I think that’s really valuable so that it doesn’t all become overwhelming, so there’s always a way to get over something.”
