Jennifer Garner does box-jump workouts, but makes them fun

Many celebrities have done box jumps and even shared their videos on social media. And while it usually involves climbing up and down a box — despite its height — it can be a good cardio workout.

If you’re looking for a 15-second fat burn and a good sweat session, get inspired by Jennifer Garner who, at 50, pulled off an insane exercise stunt. The actor, who was last seen in the film, ‘The Adam Project‘, was with his trainer Beth Nicely. The two made a intense box-jump sequence which looked creatively choreographed but punishing for the legs and lungs.

Dressed in stretchy gym pants, a t-shirt and her hair tied back in a ponytail, Garner appeared to be performing a coordinated leg routine with her trainer. The two jumped on and off the boxes, stomping gracefully and without pause.

While they first landed on both legs, they then jumped using one, swapping it with the other, then twisting and turning sideways. It was simply a perfection that could only be achieved with practice.

If you’re new to box workouts and want to choreograph a similar sequence, it would be wise to start slow at first. It’s important to do some stretching before trying box workouts, and depending on your level of adaptability, you can increase the box height.

To start, you can choose a song of your choice to play in the background, then move your legs to the beat, first both, then alternate. It’s a great cardio workout that you can complete in style and just 15 seconds – with a 30 second break, then start all over again – can be great for your heart and lung health.
