Bollywood is a huge industry where people all over the world want to try their luck. Every year several films are produced, and with that we see new faces. Unfortunately, some artists never make it big and no longer appear on screen. Surviving in the entertainment industry is not easy, and only two in ten people who work here manage to make a place for themselves in the hearts of the public. Even if it does not stay long if one reaches fame, because it is difficult to please the viewers.
We know famous Bollywood actors and actresses so well. Some of them still have big names in the industry, even after deciding to leave the industry years ago to follow their passion. It was the Bollywood celebrities who chose an alternative career after leaving the entertainment industry.

# 1. Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty is now known as the wife of famous businessman Raj Kundra, started her teenage career as a model. She started her Bollywood journey with the film, Baazigar in 1993. After achieving huge success in Indian cinema, she gained international fame by winning the British reality show Big Brother Season 5. After marrying Raj Kundra, the actress quit her acting career and occasionally made public appearances on reality shows as a judge. She is now a social worker, fitness influencer and restaurateur. Shilpa is also a co-owner of an IPL team with her husband. This year, the actress made a comeback in the movie Hungama 2.
# 2. Glittering Khanna
The actress is the daughter of prominent Indian celebrities Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. She is also the wife of famous actor Akshay Kumar. Twinkle Khanna had decided to leave Bollywood years ago because she wanted to become an author. She wrote the bestselling book Mrs. Funnybones. She is a woman of many talents, as she is also a producer with her own production company called Mrs. Funnybones Movies. Apart from that, the actress launched her new-age digital content company, Tweak India, and is also an interior designer.
# 3. Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta is the most beautiful actress of her time. She played many roles as a bubbly young girl in Hindi films and has remained a successful actress. Some of his Bollywood hits were Soldier, Veer-Zaara, Kya Kehna, Kal Ho Na Ho, and much more. Preity decided to leave Bollywood as she launched her own production house, PZNZ Media, and is also a co-owner of an IPL cricket team, Kings XI Punjab, since 2008. Apart from that, she has owned the South African T20 Global League cricket team, Stellenbosch Kings since 2017.

# 4. Karishma kapoor
The actress is a member of the legendary Kapoor family and is widely known as LoLo. Karishma has remained one of the most beautiful actresses of her time. She had been featured in box office blockbuster movies like, Dil To Pagal Hai, Hum Saath-Saath Hai, Biwi no.1, Judwaa, and Andaz Apna Apna. Karishma sought great success in less time but decided to leave Bollywood and is now a co-investor for a children’s brand, Babyoye.
# 5. Sushmita Sen
Sushmita Sen is a Bollywood sensation. She is an actress and a model, who won the Miss Universe and Femina Miss India in 1994. Sushmita had appeared in several Bollywood films and became known for his superb acting. Some of his films are, Dastak, Aaghaaz, Biwi n ° 1, and Mai Hoon Na. The actress decided to take a break from Bollywood and became a producer with her own production company, Tantra Entertainment.

# 6. Sonali Bendré
The Indian actress has mainly worked in films in Hindi and has also worked in films in Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Kannada. His first Hindi film was Aag, where she starred alongside actor Govinda in 1994. She later appeared in popular Bollywood films, Hmm Saath-Saath Hain, Bombay, and Lajja among others. Along with her acting, she was also recognized as a graceful dancer in the industry. In 2018, she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer; however, she won her battle with cancer strongly. The actress is now an author and wrote the books, The Modern Gurukul: My Experiences with Parenthood, and Birds and Beasts: Enchanting Tales of India – A Story.
# 7. Bipasha Basu
Bipasha Basu is the industry’s most admired actress. She is known for her work in the horror and thriller genre in Bollywood and is also cited as a sex symbol in the media. Bipasha’s strong acting skills have earned her huge success in showbiz. However, even after experiencing all the fame, she decided to leave her acting career behind and launched her own clothing brand named The Label Life, in partnership with Malaika Arora and Suzzane Khan.
# 8. Dino Morea
Dino Morea started her career as a model and then entered Bollywood with her first film, Pyaar Mein Kabi Kabhi. Unfortunately, the film did not make the box office buzz. Soon after, his career took off with films like Raaz and cum 2. However, he failed to achieve success in the industry. The actor now owns his own restaurant chain, Crepe Station Cafe in Mumbai. After a long hiatus, Dino made a few screen appearances later. Dino also has a production house and he recently played the negative character of ‘Shaybani Khan’ in the web series, The Empire and he was praised for his role.

# 9. Lara dutta
The Indian actress turned entrepreneur quit her film career and opened her own production house, Entertainment Bheegi Basanti. She also runs her own designer saree line with the label Chabra 555. In her career, she has mainly worked in Hindi films. The actress won the Miss Universe 2000 contest and was also crowned Miss Intercontinental 1997. The actress recently made her return to Bollywood with the film, The lower end of the bell. The film has been released in theaters and on other OTT platforms.

Soha Ali Khan is a real princess and belongs to the Pataudi family. She is the daughter of the famous actress of the 70s, Sharmila Tagore and the sister of the actor, Saif Ali Khan. Soha Ali Khan made his film debut, Dil Maange Plus, the film was released in 2004. The film was a romantic comedy where she was cast along with other Bollywood celebrities, Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and Tulip Joshi. After working in a few Bollywood films, Rang De Basanti, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Tum Mile and others, she decided to leave the industry and is now a writer. She wrote the bestselling novel, The dangers of being moderately famous.
# 11. Sahil Khan
The super sexy actor made his Bollywood debut in 2001 in the movie, Style. The actor stayed in showbiz for a short time and went out after his first film. He then started his own chain of gyms and fitness centers in Goa. In 2010, the actor made a comeback through the film, Ramaa: the savior, and had never appeared on the big screen again. He is still a fitness trainer and runs his gyms.

# 12. Kim sharma
Kim Sharma was a sensational actress. She made her debut in Bollywood’s most popular romantic film, Mohabbatéine in 2000, after which she created a huge fan base. Kim also worked in the film Fida which was a box office hit. However, after her successful journey in the entertainment industry, she took a step back when she decided to set up her bridal grooming studio, Connection.
# 13. Dipannita Sharma
Dipannita Sharma is an Indian actress and model. She has acted in several Hindi movies like Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, Jodi Breakers, and much more. Her films did not go well and her acting career did not flourish. Subsequently, she stopped acting and became the owner of a luxury yacht called Shazam.
# 14. Kumar Gaurav
Kumar Gaurav is the son of famous Bollywood actor Rajendra Kumar. Kumar made his debut with the film, Love story in 1981 and was part of successful films, Kaante, Teri Kasam, and Naam. In 2006, the actor last appeared in the film, My strongest daddy. Currently he owns a travel business in the Maldives.

# 15. Mayoori Kangoo
Mayoori Kangoo started her Bollywood career in 1995 with the national award-winning film, Naseem. She has made a cameo appearance in other popular films including Papa Kehte Hain and Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, among others. She was last seen in the movie, Papa the Great. Soon the actress left the glamor industry behind. She now lives in Gurgaon and works for Google India as Industry Manager, Agency Business.
# 16. Mandakini
The beautiful actress is known for her role in Ram Teri Ganga Maili, which was a huge success. She quit acting in 1996 and was last seen in the movie, Zordaar. Mandakini left her glorious career behind and started working as a Tibetan yoga trainer in Mumbai.
Even though these celebrities have said their farewells to Bollywood, their fan numbers remain the same.
