Celebrities and sports stars performing Umrah during Ramadan 2022

Many celebrities from all over the world have participated in Umrah this year.

Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, which can be undertaken at any time of the year. It is different from Hajj. which only takes place during the month of Dhul Hijjah.

This year, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that women over the age of 45 can perform Umrah without being accompanied by a male guardian, known as a mahram.

It was the first time that Muslim women who wanted to perform Umrah could do so without accompaniment, as long as they were in women’s groups.

Daoud Kim

Famous Korean YouTube star Daud Kim has shared his journey to Umrah on social media, documenting his journey from South Korea to Pakistan and then to Jeddah.

Waqar Younes

The former Pakistani cricketer performed Umrah with his family, sharing his joyful experience on Twitter. “Alhamdulillah…ALLAH has invited us to his home for Umrah,” he wrote.

Babar Azam
